Energy and Economic Effectiveness of Electricity Generation Technologies of the Future

Abstract







The paper presents the analysis of energy and economic effectiveness of electricity generation technologies of the future in: system power plants, large and medium scale combined heat and power (CHP) plants, and small scale power plants and CHP plants (distributed sources). For particular generation technologies were determined the quantities characterizing their energy effectiveness, unitary emission of CO<sub>2</sub> (kg CO<sub>2</sub>/kWh) and unitary discounted electricity generation costs of 2013.
