Heat Exchange Models Applied in 200 MW Turbogenerator Set Upgrades

Abstract

The paper presents modified thermal networks applied to improve turbogenerator designs. New solutions of turbogenerator set components are implemented in the coal-fired unit revitalization as part of the “Bloki 200+” program for the Polish power industry [1]. As an example, a modified thermal network was developed for a turbogenerator stator winding with various bar designs. It was used to design a new turbogenerator stator winding for upgraded units with significantly increased capacity, suitable for flexible operation.
