Renewable Energy Sources on the Polish Electrical Energy Market

Abstract







Production of electricity from renewable energy sources in Poland is presented in the paper. The mechanism of energy origin certificates market and the proposal of mechanism modification are discussed. Perspectives of electricity production from renewable energy sources are indicated and discussed.

Regulation of the Minister of Economy of 14 August 2008 concerning detailed scope of obligations to acquire certificate of origin and submit them for cancellation, to pay equivalent fees, to purchase electricity and heat generated at renewable energy sources and on the obligation to confirm data concerning volumes of electricity generated at a renewable energy source (Dz.U.2008.969).
