Abstract







The paper presents selected real examples of the reactive power compensation of a wind farm grid using all available reactive power sources. It also discusses the possibility of extending the currently available range of reactive power regulation of a wind farm using installed capacitor banks and shunt reactors. The examples presented here are a collection of the authors’ experiences from the design and implementation of the URST control systems in wind farms Osieki (Pomeranian Voivodeship) and Banie (West Pomeranian Voivodeship).
